Del Knauer Celebrates 90th Birthday
Del Knauer, formerly of Barnard and now living in Hutchinson, celebrated his 90th birthday on May 24th. He retired after teaching for 40 years with 37 of those at Hutchinson High School.
I had a dear friend that had Mr. Knauer as an English teacher at Hutchinson High...class of '76 or so. She always had the highest things to say about Mr. Knauer and his classes. In his honor, she can still recite the Prologue to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales....in Middle English!
