Post Card From the Past...Stone Arch Bridge on the East Edge of Town

This bridge has been gone for quite some time.  It actually collapsed as Bob Wallace was driving across it in April of 1929.

Also, if you know anything about the person who wrote or the person who received this postcard, I am interested in knowing.  Email at barnardbanter@aol.com.

Post Card from the Past: Barnard School

I acquired another Barnard School postcard.  However, this one is unique and not quite like the other.  This one was printed by the Barnard Bee and has a MILO cancellation.  I would have thought that Milo's post office would have ceased to exist by the time this postcard was sent...but I guess I thought wrong.  If anyone has any information about the people who sent or received this postcard, I would be interested in knowing about them.

A Find During Renovations

Jeff Wallace and I have been renovating/restoring the old Saunders place in Barnard.  You've seen many postcards that I've posted, however, those have been ones that I have found for sale elsewhere.  This one I actually found behind some woodwork being removed so that sheetrock could replace some damaged plaster in the dining room.  I was rather excited about this find.  It is dated and postmarked by the Barnard Post Office in 1915.

If you have any information about this card...I would like to know.  As always, click on the image to enlarge.

Post Card From the Past--First Baptist Church of Barnard

Date is unknown and card is unused.  It is made by the M.L. Zercher Book and Stationary Co. in Topeka, KS which I believe became Zercher Photo later on.  I remember Zercher Photo well from when I was a child.

Greetings from Barnard Kansas

This is a postcard postmarked in 1909 with a picture of Barnard's main street.

This is the reverse side of the card.  Can you identify the author and/or who it is from?
